TODO before launch: Confirm billing dates, taxes, failed payments, renewal reminders, cancellation method and cutoff, unused-word rollover, downgrade rules, price-change notice, UK cooling-off treatment, and the customer support email.
1. Plans
WriteScove plans to offer Plus at $19.99/month with 25,000 words per month and Pro at $39.99/month with 60,000 words per month. Planned annual prices are $199.99/year for Plus and $399.99/year for Pro. Plans cannot currently be purchased.
2. Automatic renewal
When subscriptions launch, monthly and annual plans are expected to renew automatically until canceled. The checkout page must clearly show the price, billing interval, renewal terms, applicable taxes, and how to cancel before the customer confirms payment.
3. Word allowance
TODO: Decide whether unused monthly words roll over, how annual-plan allowances are issued, how word counting works, and what happens when an allowance is exhausted.
4. Cancellation
Customers must be given a straightforward way to cancel future renewal, expected to be through account billing settings or a Stripe customer portal. Cancellation would ordinarily take effect at the end of the paid billing period, with access continuing until then.
TODO: Confirm the exact cancellation channel, effective time, cutoff relative to renewal, and whether immediate cancellation is available.
5. Refunds
Cancellation does not itself create a refund. Refund requests will be handled under the Refund Policy and applicable law.
6. Price or plan changes
Material price or plan changes will be communicated before they affect an upcoming renewal, using the notice period required by applicable law. The exact notice period must be confirmed.
7. Contact
TODO: Add the verified billing-support email.
