TODO before launch: Confirm the legal business name, minimum user age, governing law and venue, support contact, billing rules, acceptable-use details, intellectual-property ownership, and dispute terms. Obtain legal review.
1. Agreement and service
These Terms govern access to WriteScove and its writing-editing features. By using the service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. The production service is still in development; features described on the current site as planned are not yet available.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must meet the minimum legal age that will be specified before launch and be able to enter a binding agreement. You are responsible for accurate account information, protecting your credentials, and activity under your account.
3. Your content
You retain your rights in text and documents you submit. You grant WriteScove and its contracted processors a limited permission to process that content only to operate, secure, and improve the service as described in the final Privacy Policy.
You must have the right to submit your content. You may not use the service for unlawful, harmful, deceptive, infringing, privacy-invasive, or abusive activity, or to bypass academic, professional, or platform rules.
4. Editing output
Writing suggestions may contain errors or change nuance. You are responsible for reviewing output and deciding whether it is appropriate for your context. WriteScove does not provide legal, medical, financial, academic, or other professional advice.
5. Purchases and subscriptions
Final payment terms will identify taxes, word expiration (if any), recurring billing, renewal, cancellation timing, and failed-payment handling. Stripe Checkout is not connected to the current frontend, so no purchase can presently be completed. The Refund Policy and Subscription & Cancellation Policy will form part of these Terms when finalized.
6. Service changes and termination
We may modify or discontinue features and may restrict access where reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or material breach. Final notice and account-closure procedures must be confirmed.
7. Intellectual property
WriteScove, its website, software, branding, and original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. No rights are granted except the limited right to use the service under these Terms.
8. Disclaimers and liability
The service will be provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. Final warranty disclaimers and liability limitations must be drafted for the operator’s jurisdiction and must not exclude rights that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable UK consumer rights.
9. Governing law and disputes
TODO: Insert governing law, venue, and any dispute-resolution process after the operator’s legal jurisdiction is confirmed.
10. Contact
TODO: Add the verified legal/support email and business contact details.
